The SE Agricultural Stink Bug ID serves as a practical tool for accurately identifying common stink bug species encountered within the agricultural ecosystems of Georgia and the southeastern United States. Designed primarily for use by university researchers, Extension specialists, county agents, consultants, scouts, and growers, it provides detailed visual references for various developmental stages, including eggs, nymphs, and adults. Each species entry emphasizes key morphological characteristics to facilitate reliable identification of specimens in the field or laboratory. When available, common names in parentheses are included, acknowledging that some species lack official entomological nomenclature as recognized by the Entomological Society of America. The development of this reference was carried out collaboratively by the University of Georgia Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health and the Department of Entomology within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, with funding support from Cotton Incorporated.
